The Barn
Serving Our Community
The Barn
Welcome to The Barn at New Hope Fellowship
A New Space for Community, Youth, and Families in El Dorado County
Our Promise and Vision
At New Hope Fellowship of Shingle Springs, we are excited to introduce The Barn – a renovated space dedicated to serving our community, especially our youth, families, and children. As we complete Phase One of this project, we're reminded of God's promise in Scripture:
For us, this verse represents a commitment to building a lasting legacy for future generations. We're contending to reach another generation by providing a safe, welcoming environment where people can gather, grow, and connect. Everything we do with The Barn is aimed at serving the people and families of El Dorado County.
About The Barn
We transformed a rustic, 40-year-old storage building into a vibrant community hub after 10 months of dedicated work. Envisioned as a “Youth & Event Barn,” it will serve as a flexible meeting area for our children’s and student ministries, while also being positioned for broader community use.
Inside, we're working on a finished interior, comfortable seating areas, and a small stage perfect for hosting classes, worship nights, civic gatherings, and more.
The Grand Opening Celebration
On September 12, we celebrated the grand opening of The Barn with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce. Starting at 2 p.m., community members, luminaries, and volunteers came together to mark this milestone.
Pastor Al Soto shared the heartbeat behind the project: “To serve our community, mainly our children and youth. To have a safe place for students to have fun, have music, in an environment that is safe for them.” It was a wonderful day of community coming together!
How The Barn Serves Our Community
In a rural and exurban area like Shingle Springs, additional multi-use spaces like The Barn create exciting new options for after-school programming, nonprofit meetings, small public forums, and private rentals. This strengthens neighborhood ties and supports local services.
The involvement of the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber highlights our civic focus and intention to make The Barn a true community resource. We're positioning it for youth groups, family events, and more – all in a safe, fun environment.
While we haven't published a long-range calendar yet, community members and groups interested in reserving the space or learning more about its specifications should contact us directly.
